I strongly believe that games are a powerful medium and that they can be more than just entertainment.

Born in Italy, I’ve been interested in games, play, and interactivity since my childhood.

My education path helped me have a mixed background, with an Industrial Computer Technology High School Diploma, a Media Design & Multimedia Arts Bachelor’s Degree, and a Game Design & Theory Master of Science Degree. My Bachelor’s thesis was about the formative, didactic, and mediatic use of live-action role-playing games, while my Master of Science thesis was about the presence of the designer in two-players role-playing games. I wrote a paper focused on why and how players may fall in love through games. I was Teaching Assistant for Miguel Sicart’s Game Design course at the IT University of Copenhagen. I worked as a Game Designer in Denmark for Copenhagen Game Lab and for Character. I currently work in Turin as a Game Designer & Developer for Try A Game. I’ve done game design and development for CMON’s Marvel United and I’ve been game designer and lead developer for Cyberpunk 2077: Gangs of Night City.

I have been writing articles on many video game portals since 2012. I helped co-organizing many game-related events including the first editions of Chambercon, various game night events in Milan, and the 2016 and 2017 editions of the Global Game Jam in Copenhagen. I’ve been a volunteer in the Nordic Game Jam 2018. I was one of the judges in the game design competition Game Chef: Pummarola Edition from 2017 to 2019, and in the 2018 edition of the 200 Word RPG Challenge. I was one of the regular guests in the role-playing games focused talk show GDR Unplugged Late Show. I’ve been a judge for the Play4Change 2021contest. Sometime I wrote stuff about the games I play on Medium.

My mixed background brought me to learn skills in many fields, including programming, image editing and post-production, video editing and post-production, video compositing, sound design, game design, play design, user experience design, playtesting, world building, and story writing.
